Description

To be able to identify and correctly diagnose an acute or chronic skin condition, while examining the patient as a whole. This lecture will help the practioner properly diagnose common skin conditions and better understand when to refer to a dermatology and when to biopsy.

The New York State Osteopathic Medical Society (NYSOMS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic medical education to physicians. NYSOMS designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Dimitria Papadopoulos, DO is board certified in Dermatology by the AOBD. She graduated from NYITCOM and completed her residency in dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. Dr. Papadopoulos has been practicing dermatology for a number of years in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Long Island, and is a lead physician for Spot Me free skin cancer screenings. She is currently a teaching attending in dermatology at St. Barnabas and St. Johns Episcopal, and is on staff as an assistant clinical professor at South Nassau Communities Hospital, St. Barnabas Hospital, and Montefiore Hospital. She is a member of many associations, some of which include the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD), and the Women's Dermatology Society (WDS). Dr. Papadopoulos is a medical liaison for News 12 educating the general population on skin care and safety!
