Following completion of this program, attendees shall be able to:
Analyze the fundamental principles of virology, including viral structure, replication cycles, and host interactions, to facilitate the identification and characterization of emerging viral threats.
Evaluate the epidemiology of recent and ongoing public health emergencies caused by emerging viral pathogens, such as coronaviruses, influenza viruses, and other zoonotic agents, to assess their potential impact on global health and preparedness efforts.
Implement evidence-based strategies for the prevention, detection, and response to emerging viral threats at local, national, and international levels, including surveillance systems, outbreak investigations, vaccination campaigns, and public health communication strategies.
