Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction

Learning Objectives:
·    Demonstrate knowledge of the diagnosis of STEMI.
·    Apply current guidelines for rapid treatment.
·    Identify areas of care requiring improvement in individual and corporate care delivery. 
·    Organize systemic improvements for the emergency department. 

Accreditation Statements:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of 1.25 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation.

Dr. Tom Trent is a graduate of Oklahoma State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Tulsa, Oklahoma and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. He is an attending emergency medicine physician at Cox Monett in Monett, MO and serves at the Director of Urgent Care, Director of the Emergency Department, Chief of Medical Staff, and Director of Time Critical Diagnosis for Cox Monett Hospital.

Alisha Wright, DO's Profile

Alisha Wright, DO, is Assistant Medical Director and Core Faculty Member of Freeman Health System.  She graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and went on to complete her Emergency Medicine Residency program at Freeman Health System & Oklahoma State University.  She currently serves on the Graduate Medical Education Committee for KCU, and the Program Evaluation Committee and Trauma Committee for Freeman Health System as well as many others for the organization. Dr. Wright is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.
