Description

Burnout has reached epidemic levels among physicians. A variety of factors have led to stress and disillusionment among doctors and other medical professions. Physician burnout may negatively impact the quality of care delivered to patients.

Dr. Mike Repik is a combat veteran of the First Gulf War and after honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps matriculated to The Pennsylvania State University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vertebrate Physiology. He then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.  He was selected as chief resident in his final year of residency. Following his residency he completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncologic Pathology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.
After completing his fellowship he has worked in Pain Management, Weight Loss and Addiction Medicine.
While he is not seeing patients, Dr. Mike performs stand-up comedy all across America and is particularly fond of performing at nursing homes. He once cured a diabetic audience member with a snickers bar.
