Participants will learn about the prevalence and severity of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in California. They will also understand how to integrate STI testing into their practices, emphasizing the importance of addressing untreated syphilis. Additionally, participants will be informed about current guidelines for the treatment and management of individuals with sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and their partners. Furthermore, participants will be encouraged to consider STD screening for all members, regardless of the reason for their visit, and to order screening when necessary.

Dr Wang graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed her training in dietetics at Yale New Haven Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, where she graduated fifth in her class, while simultaneously completing her master’s degree in health education. Dr. Wang is board certified internal medicine and infectious diseases physician as recognized by Fellow of Infectious Diseases Society of America. Currently serving as the deputy health officer and STD/TB controller for San Bernardino County.
