Description

This program will expire and must be completed by 06/02/24.

In his presentation, Dr. Sadaka will spend some time talking about the pathophysiology of cardiac arrest and ischemia-reperfusion injury.  He also will discuss the evidence, effects on organs, guidelines, and management of targeted temperature management (TTM).  He will conclude by discussing fever and acute brain injuries.

Farid Sadaka, MD's Profile

Farid Sadaka, MD Related Seminars and Products


Dr. Farid Sadaka is the Medical Director of the Neurologic and Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Sadaka is board certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also is board certified in Neurocritical Care by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties.

He plays a crucial role in the overall functioning of the Trauma and Neuro ICU, and he provides leadership across a broad spectrum of areas within Mercy Hospital. He serves on many local and national committees. He is a member of the Mid-America Transplant Medical Advisory Board and the Mid-America Transplant Clinical Innovation Fund Committee. He currently is the Program Director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program at St. Louis University/Mercy Hospital and the Program Director of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program at Mercy Hospitals - St. Louis.

He is an excellent clinician and teacher and has received the annual award for Teaching Excellence for 2009- 2010 and 2013-2014. He is actively involved in clinical research and has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications on various topics. He won the "Researcher of the Year Award" for Mercy Health System in 2018. Dr. Sadaka wrote multiple book chapters and is the editor of two books. Currently, he is working on various projects involving the residents from the critical care department and other specialties in Mercy Hospital, in addition to medical students from St. Louis University.
