Dr. Fahim Habib graduated from the General Surgery residency program at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. Following residency, he did a fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Florida, then stayed on as faculty in the Department of Surgery at the University of Miami participating in patient care, teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students in addition to clinical research. He was also the co-director of the University of Miami Hernia and complex abdominal wall reconstruction center. After 8 years on faculty, Dr Habib attended an international robotic surgery conference where he became fascinated by what the robotic platform brought to the delivery of surgical care. To incorporate robotics into his practice, he went on to complete additional fellowships in Advanced, Minimally Invasive, and Robotic Foregut surgery at Allegheny Health Network and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, specializing in disorders of the esophagus and stomach. His training encompassed the broad spectrum of treatment options including endoscopic, open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques of disorders of the esophagus and stomach, he is particularly passionate about Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease.

He recently relocated to Arizona and is establishing practices in both Phoenix and Tucson.
