Born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, my first doctor was an Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon who took care of 3 generations of my family. When I was 10 years old, while my dad was away on a National Guard trip, Ol’ Doc Smith made a house call because my mom was having a seizure. That forever set in me the vision of what a rural family doc should look like.
Since that time, most of my physicians have been DOs and many of them have treated me with OMT. When I went to med school, I was especially enthusiastic about learning OMT and was recognized for my skills as a student and a resident. Since becoming a rural family doc in Southern Idaho, I have gained enormous satisfaction from the relief it gives my patients.
In my spare time I enjoy fishing, hiking, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, pretty much anything that gets me into the magnificent wilderness of Idaho.
