The Pascagoula, MS native began his medical career after a brief stint in the minor leagues with the Arizona Diamondbacks professional baseball organization upon graduating from Millsaps College in 1996. Dr. Kinard received his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. He completed his Anesthesia residency and Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Kinard maintains dual Board Certifications in both specialties.

 

He has served on the Board of Directors for the Southern Pain Society and is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Southern Pain Society and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Kinard is a regionally known speaker and serves on the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure.

The practice at Willow utilizes a comprehensive, multimodal approach to the management of a multitude of chronic painful conditions, including procedural, medical, psychotherapeutic, and rehabilitative efforts. Dr. Kinard has a special interest in and will focus his general approach toward, achieving his treatment goals (pain relief, improved physical function, enhanced quality of life) while minimizing the role of medications which can result in chemical dependency and addiction.
