Description

First presented at the 2021 Virtual Osteopathic Conference, OPSO is pleased to offer this presentation as an on-demand CME seminar. 

In this presentation Dr. Hubbard will:

  • Describe how ultrasound can be integrated in the emergency medicine setting
  • Discuss adjustments to ED physicians practice to include ultrasound in lung-related emergencies
  • Describe current research on the use of ultrasound in the ED on patient outcomes

The Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Dr. Dan Hubbard is an Emergency Department Physician at Peace Health Southwest Medical Center. Its located in a very busy and delightful community in Vancouver, Washington. He graduated with his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon,in 2013. He completed an Ultrasound fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Later he served as the Fellowship Director at Oregon Health & Science University for a few years before deciding to leave academic medicine for community practice and better family life. Dr. Hubbard uses point-of-care ultrasound every day of his professional life.
