Description

  • Summarize the importance of preparation for wilderness excursions and outdoor adventures, review the importance of bystander preparation, describe the role of physicians and other healthcare providers in community/patient education, and develop a strategy for empowering patients.

Accreditation Statement:
The Montana Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 2-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance.  Initially, all grievances should be directed to MOMA Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the Education & Convention Committee.  All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt.  If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, then they can then submit a complaint in writing to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

William Oley MD is a Family Medicine physician practicing at Beartooth Billings Clinic in beautiful Red Lodge, Montana. Dr. Oley attended medical school at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and completed his internship and residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital, also in Columbus, Ohio. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Oley is particularly interested in Pediatrics, Preventive Health, the study of Rural Trauma Systems, and Wilderness medicine. Dr. Oley joined Billings Clinic in 2003.
