Adela Grando, PhD

Adela Grando, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the Arizona State University. She is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Mayo Clinic.
She trained first as a Computer Scientist in Argentina and Spain. Later, during her postdoctoral training in Scotland, she discovered her passion for applying Computer Science to Medicine.
Dr. Grando specializes on the development of technology to empower patients. In the last four years, she has edited the first book on patient empowerment and has received more than 2.5 million dollars in funding to develop patient-centered solutions.
