Alan Carr, D.O. is a board-certified anesthesiologist specializing in pain management of the spine. Dr. Carr is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons where he was the president of the association in 2009. Dr. Carr earned his medical education at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, IA. He completed his professional training with an internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry and an anesthesia residency at the same institution, where he was named Chief Resident in anesthesia. He completed his obstetrical anesthesia and pain management at the Albert Einstein Medical Center. He has held his certification by the American Academy of Pain Management since 1991.
