Blaise W. Abramovitz, DO, “Resistant Hypertension,” is medical director of the Inpatient Dialysis Unit at UPMC Mercy and director of community practice and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, Renal-Electrolyte Division. Board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, Dr. Abramovitz is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a 2013 graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship and internal medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He also completeda nephrology fellowship and a Measey fellowship in medical education of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Abramovitz is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He has provided no disclosures.
