Brian Zachariah, MD
Dr. Zachariah is an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences at William Carey University-School of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to coming to Carey in 2019 he was the Chief Medical Coordinator for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the state agency which licenses and regulates over 60,000 medical providers in Illinois, including allopathic, osteopathic and chiropractic physicians, as well as Physician Assistants. During his long and varied carrier, Dr. Zachariah has spent over twenty years in the clinical and administrative practice of Emergency Medicine including at some of the nation’s busiest and best known academic medical centers. He has authored over two dozen peer reviewed manuscripts and several book chapters and is a frequent speaker to both medical and lay audiences.
