Col. Robert Suter, DO, MHA, FACEP, COL, MC


Dr. Suter, is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern, President-Elect of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, as well as Past President of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the International Federation for Emergency Medicine. He received his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and received his DO and MHA degrees from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa and a Masters in strategic studies from the Army War College. Dr. Suter did his residency training in emergency medicine at Brooke Army Medical Centers in San Antonio, board certified by both the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine, and EMS certified by both. He also is a member of the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation who recently returned from a Middle East deployment as a Colonel in the US Army Reserve where he served as the Commander of the medical and healthcare forces in the 13 nation CENTCOM region.
