Daniel M Gelfman, MD, MD
Dr. Gelfman joined the clinical faculty at Marian University in Indianapolis, IN, in August of 2014 part-time and became full-time in August of 2015 as an associate professor at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MUCOM) in Indianapolis, IN. He earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry in 1977 and his medical degree in 1981 both at the University of Wisconsin, in Madison, WI. Dr. Gelfman then went on to the Virginia Commonweatth University (VCU) Medical Center in Richmond, VA, where he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, served as chief medical resident, and then completed a fellowship in invasive cardiology in 1987. He is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiology and is a fellow of the American Society of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, and the American Society of Echocardiography. Since 1987, Dr. Gelfman has been a full-time practicing cardiologist as well as and a teacher on a volunteer basis, until joining Marian University in 2014. He came to Indiana in 1993 to join the St. Vincent Cardiology team and still practices as a volunteer physician at various free medical clinics in the greater Indianapolis area. He was in a private cardiology practice for 29 years.
