Daryl Callahan


Daryl J. Callahan, DO, ACOFP
Dr. Callahan received his medical degree from the Kansas City University – College of Osteopathic Medicine. Postgraduate his education was an AOA Rotating Internship, KCU-COM Missouri research fellowship, and attendance at the United States Army War College. He is licensed to practice medicine in Kansas, Nebraska and a registered telehealth provider in Florida. Dr. Callahan belongs to the AOA, ACOFP and holds board certification. He has been a member of KAOM for 36 years and served nine years on the KAOM Executive Committee including as its President. Dr. Callahan is actively involved in many military related organizations. He was in private practice a number of years before serving as a military physician in Primary Care at Fort Riley, in Kansas. He has also practiced at the Colmery O’Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka and at the VA Montana Department of Ambulatory Care Western Region as Service Chief. In 2017 he began work as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Director. In February 2020 he transitioned to a work at home Medical Director for Anthem, Inc. doing medical necessity reviews for post service clinical claim review and he is also a practicing telehealth physician.
