Denise Atwood, RN, BSS, JD
Denise Atwood, RN, BSS, JD is a Senior Risk Management Consultant with Mutual Insurance Company of Arizona (MICA). She has experience Medicare Set Asides (MSAs), ethics education and evaluation, health care compliance, health care risk, physician contracting, medical-legal education and personal injury case review for merit. Ms. Atwood recently retired as a vice president at an academic medical center and level I trauma center in Phoenix, Arizona where she gained experience working with public boards and mediating between departments, physicians and leaders. She also enjoyed teaching leadership development courses for the medical center’s leaders. In addition to her responsibilities with MICA, she is an adjunct professor for three universities and an ethics evaluator for the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Ms. Atwood is admitted to practice law and licensed to practice nursing in Arizona.
