Emily Jacobs, DO

Franklin Community Heath Network

Bio:  Emily grew up in Greene, ME. After graduating from Leavitt Area High School, she went to college at Middlebury and ran for their XC team. She worked for two years in Boston at Children’s Hospital following college, then obtained her Doctor of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, going on to complete her residency in Pediatrics at Maine Medical Center. She graduated this past June and has just started working at Franklin Memorial Health Center in Farmington, Maine. Her interest in vaping started back in medical school, when parents of children would say they switched to e-cigarettes to help prevent secondhand smoke for their kids. Since then she has continued to investigate second hand effects of vaping through research, as well as educational lectures regarding the increase in use in Pediatrics and the current epidemic.
