Gene Chang, MD, PhD


Gene Chang, MD, PhD, FACC, “Mitral Regurgitation Surgery,” is director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia and Clinical Health Care Associates of New Jersey and Princeton Healthcare Affiliated Physicians, PC.  He is also an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia.  Dr. Chang is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a 1991 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.  Board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, he completed an internship and internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.  He also completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship and interventional cardiology and heart failure/cardiac transplantation fellowships at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he is a member of the American College of Physicians.
