Gustavo Saldias, MPH


Gustavo Saldias, MPH serves as Associate Director of the Nova Southeastern University Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Health at NSU.  He has been involved with AHEC for over 25 years in developing training and educational initiatives to address a wide range of public health issues of great importance to our state and nation.  Since 2007, he has also played a major role in the development and implementation of AHEC’s Tobacco Cessation Program designed to train health professionals on the critical importance of routinely addressing tobacco dependence as part of clinical practice, as well as to provide accessible cessation services to tobacco users throughout the NSU AHEC’s South and Central Florida service region.  Mr. Saldias obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
