Ira P. Monka, DO, FACOFP
Ira Monka, DO, FACOFP, “AOA Leadership Fireside Chat,” is president-elect of the American Osteopathic Association. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Monka practices at the Medical Institute of New Jersey in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. He earned his osteopathic medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, which became part of Rowan University as the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in July 2013. Dr. Monka completed an internship at the former Humana Hospital in South Broward, Florida and a family medicine residency at what is now Overlook Medical Center in Union, New Jersey. A fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, he is past president of the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
