Jacob Turnbull, DO
Dr. Jason Turnbull, DO grew up in Pittsburgh, PA before attending West Virginia University for a degree in exercise physiology. He completed medical school in 2016 at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and family medicine residency in 2019 at St. Mary's in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he also served as Chief Resident. VCOM/Virginia Tech was the perfect fit for his sports medicine fellowship as it had a mixture of college athletic coverage, ultrasound procedures, osteopathic manual medicine, and teaching opportunities. Dr. Turnbull is now an assistant professor for Family and Sports Medicine at VCOM Louisiana. He is the team physician for the University of Louisiana Monroe and also Grambling State University. Dr. Turnbull is anavid runner and former boxer at WVU, enjoys hiking with his wife and 2-year old daughter.
