James Latronica, DO


James R. Latronica, DO, “Safe and Efficacious Prescribing for Chronic Pain in 2023,” is assistant professor of psychiatry and family medicine at the University of Pittsburgh (Pa.) School of Medicine and an attending physician at the Western Psychiatric Hospital in Pittsburgh. Board certified in family medicine and addiction medicine, Dr. Latronica is a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania and a 2017 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a family medicine residency at Clarion (Pa.) Hospital and an addiction medicine fellowship at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Latronica is a board member of POMA and a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Pennsylvania Society of Addiction Medicine, and the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine.
