Jamon Blood DO, is a native to rural Northeast Texas. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing medical school, he returned to Texas for his residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and then completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas where he was the Chief Fellow.

He is currently DUAL board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry in General and Child & Adolescent.

Dr. Blood joined UT at Tyler Health Science Center in 2020 to be an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine.  He is a team member for both the CPAN (CHILD PSYCHIATRY ACCESS NETWORK) and TCHATT(Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine). He is the Site Principle investigator for the  Texas Youth Depression and Suicide Research Network (TX-YDSRN).
