Jared Nichols, DO

Jared W. Nichols, DO has been an active member of Kansas City University faculty for the last three years.  He serves as the year two course director for the osteopathic skills classes.  He is on the Board of Trustees for the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.  His interests include osteopathic advocacy and promotion, which he demonstrates through advising the Joplin-KCU student MAOPS chapter. 

Dr. Nichols earned his BA in Music, Percussion from Truman State University, Kirksville, MO.  While attending A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO he completed a teaching fellowship in anatomy and later earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Nichols completed his Family Medicine Residency at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO.  While in residency he completed his certificate in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona.  Dr. Nichols began moonlighting in rural critical access Emergency Rooms during residency and continues to serve as an ER physician through Docs Who Care.  He completed his Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship at UNT-HSC TCOM/ Medical City Fort Worth in June 2018 and is board certified in FM & OMT as well as Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal medicine.  He is active in research at KCU with multiple projects ranging from ultrasound education to regenerative medicine.
