She then completed her residency training at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Throughout her training, Dr. David remained active in research. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals in addition to co-authorship in chapters for dermatology textbooks.

She remains active in the dermatology community holding memberships and leadership roles in the Women's Dermatology Society, American Academy of Dermatology, The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the Skin of Color Society, where she currently serves as Chair of the Patient Education Committee.
Dr. David lives in Philadelphia with her two mastiffs, Sammy and Bella, and she enjoys spending time with them at the dog park near her home. She loves to travel and even had the opportunity to trace some family genealogy back to her ancestors' home country of Croatia. Dr. David is a football fan and supports the Philadelphia Eagles. She was a member of the Eagles cheerleaders squad during the 2004-2005 season, the year they played in Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville, Florida. She also enjoys working on her Spanish-speaking skills to communicate with her Spanish patients in their native language.
Dr. David approaches each patient's visit with a commitment to actively listening to understand that person's needs fully. She looks at the pictures they show her, listens to treatments they may have tried, and tries to find ways to bring them in as an active participant in their care. Her patients know her as the kind of doctor who is genuinely concerned about their well-being and one who takes the time to fully understand the situation – much like Dr. David's beloved pediatrician, whom she idolized growing up.
Dr. David discloses that she has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients relative to the content of this presentation.
