Jerald Hurdle, D.O. is a native to Greensboro, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of Winston Salem State in 1997 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Dr. Hurdle graduated from Ohio University College of Medicine in Athens Ohio in 2004. He completed his Doctor of Osteopathy degree and an Interdisciplinary Master’s in Business and Education. Dr. Hurdle completed his teaching fellowship and internship at Obleness Memorial Hospital, Athens Ohio in 2004. He completed his Family Medicine residency training at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio in 2007. He received his subspecialty training and mentorship from Dr. Eugene Conte of Advanced Dermatology Dayton Ohio from 2005-2009. Dr. Hurdle completed a second residency at Grandview Hospitals in Dayton, Ohio in 2009 in Proctology and Colorectal Surgery. Dr. Hurdle serves as CEO of Kennebec Dermatology & Kennebec Proctology (formally Kennebec Medical Consultants). He was Past President of the Proctology College 2014-2016 ( two terms). He is a past-board member of the Maine Ostepathic Association. He is an active advocate for education in Maine. He served as mentor to medical students. Training Family Medicine Residents in specialty medicine (Dermatology & Proctology). He volunteers his time in his local community schools and church health fair events. He is routinely asked to lecture around the United States on Dermatology and Proctology topics. Dr. Hurdle enjoys being a cowboy; he rides horses and is part of the Buffalo Soldiers Calvary Unit in California. He participates in the Rose Parade annually as time allows.
