Bio: John J Campbell, MD, FANPA is the Chief Medical Informatics Officer and Medical Director of Community Services at Acadia Hospital. Prior to coming to Acadia Hospital, Dr. Campbell served as the Interim Chief of Psychiatry at Maine Medical Center and Interim Senior VP of Medical Affairs at Maine Behavioral Healthcare. In addition, he was the Medical Director of Henry Ford Kingswood Hospital, part of the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. Dr. Campbell is a graduate of Brown University and attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at Brown University and while there also completed a fellowship in neuropsychiatry. Dr. Campbell has been a champion of affordable, high quality healthcare for many years. He is an advocate for patient-centered care and, in particular, has emphasized the design of behavioral health delivery systems capable of achieving the Quadruple Aim: Measurable improvements in community health, Delighting the customer, Making care affordable, and Keeping providers engaged. His clinical background is in providing psychiatric care to medically complex populations and he has been a leader in the psychiatric care for patients with dementia-related psychiatric complications for almost 20 years. Dr. Campbell currently serves as the President of the American Neuropsychiatric Association.
