John Kalata, DO, MS, FACOFP
John J. Kalata, DO, MS, FACOFP, “POMA Leadership Fireside Chat,” is the 2023-2024 POMA President. Board certified in family medicine, he is the assistant designated institutional official at LECOM Health-Millcreek Community Hospital (MCH) in Erie, Pennsylvania, and program director of the family medicine residency and transitional year residency at MCH. He is also a physician with Medical Associates of Erie. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a 1986 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his postgraduate training at Doctors Osteopathic Hospital in Erie. Dr. Kalata also completed a master degree in medical education at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. A fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Dr. Kalata is a member of the POMA Foundation Board of Directors, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators.
