Joseph Johnson, DO

Dean, Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine


Dr. Johnson earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, formerly the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine, in 1994. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Detroit Saint John’s Health Systems, Detroit Riverview/Macomb Hospital System in association with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998. Prior to, he earned a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from the National College of Chiropractic Medicine in 1988.

He received his Fellowship recognition with the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG) in 2000 and a recent recertification in 2017. That same year, he was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow through the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Dr. Johnson is currently employed as the Dean of Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM).
