Karen E. Arscott, DO, M.Sc.


Karen E. Arscott, DO, M.Sc., “Pain Management in MAT,” is an associate professor of medicine at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and is a primary care physician and addiction medicine specialist at The Wright Center for Community Health. Board certified in neuromuscular medicine and addiction medicine, she is a graduate of Marywood College in Scranton and a 1986 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also received a clinical masters of science in osteopathic manipulative medicine from PCOM in 1996. Dr. Arscott completed a rotating internship at the Osteopathic Medical Center in Philadelphia, an internal medicine residency at Scranton-Temple, an anesthesiology residency at Osteopathic Medicine Center of Philadelphia, and an osteopathic manipulative medicine residency at PCOM. Board certified in neuromuscular medicine, she is a member of the POMA Board of Trustees and president of the Lackawanna County Medical Society. She is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Osteopathy and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
