Kim Pfotenhauer, DO, BC-ADM


Dr. Kim Pfotenhauer is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Clerkship Curriculum at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM), East Lansing, Michigan. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM), Vallejo, California. Dr. Pfotenhauer is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy by the American Board of Family Physicians. She is also board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management by the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. Dr. Pfotenhauer recently became a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Dr. Pfotenhauer completed her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at MSU-COM in 2009 and then completed a fellowship in Diabetology at TU-COM in 2019. She serves on the American Diabetes Association Women's Interprofessional Network Advisory Group and as National Faculty for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME). Speaking regionally and nationally on diabetes, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and vitamin D, she focuses on empowering primary care physicians to improve patient metabolic health.
