Lancer Gates, DO, FACOI

Dr. Lancer Gates started Gates Hospitalists, LLC in December of 2002. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the College of Osteopathic Internists. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine from Penn State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. Dr. Gates is a graduate of AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his residency training at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City, New York.

Dr. Gates serves as the Council Vice-Chair of the Missouri State Medical Society (MSMA); serves on the Editorial Board of Missouri Medicine, the Journal of the Missouri State Medical Association; Chairperson of the MSMA Insurance Agency; member of the MSMA Committee for Legislative Affairs, the MSMA Ethics Committee; and is past President of the Kansas City Medical Society. He serves on the Board of Governors for the Kansas City Regional Osteopathic Medical Association and is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Kansas City Metropolitan Physicians Association. He also serves on the Finance Committee of Centrus Health. His honors include the 2008 Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons Physician of the Year and the 2007 Kansas City Society Doctor of Distinction. He serves as an Internal Medicine preceptor for osteopathic medical students.

Dr. Gates enjoys spending time with his family, running, vacationing in his native Pennsylvania, and being involved in Missouri politics.
