LaTonyua Rice, BS, Pharm D, BCGP


LaTonyua Rice, BS, Pharm D, BCGP graduated from Kansas Newman College with both a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Biology. She received her Pharm D from the University of Missouri and has been a pharmacist for more than 30 years. She is now with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy as a k-TRAC Clinical Pharmacist/Investigator. Rice researches and investigates potential cases of drug diverson as part of the Kansas Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (K-TRACS). She researches and identifies patients with the potential for substance use disorder, prescription misuse, or dangerous prescribing patterns and recommends, develops, and implements prescriber and pharmacy guidelines for clinical practice based upon investigations of controlled substance misuse and diversion in collaboration with K-TRACS.
