Laura Knapik, D.O.
Dr. Laura Knapik is an alumni of UNE COM (2022) and is currently a third year OB/GYN resident at Maine Medical Center. As a medical student, Laura was co-chair of the Maine Medical Association and member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. In 2020, Laura co-founded and directed the Main COVID Sitters, ad hoc organization that provided childcare support to healthcare workers during the COVID pandemic, which received national recognition from the AOA as the recipient of the inaugural COVID-19 Initiative Award, and recognition from the MOA as the Sandra Featherman Osteopathic Champion Award recipient in 2020. Laura's research in residency is focused on studying obstetric outcomes between English and non-English speakers within the MaineHealth system.
