Loree Nelson, JD
Loree Nelson started her career as a respiratory therapist, working mainly in ICU. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, she moved into hospital administration as the Director of Quality Management. She was involved in the medical staff peer review system as well as the credentialing process. Because she worked for an attorney, she was inspired to seek a career in law. She changed careers and headed to law school. She attended Drake Law School where she was a member of the Law Review. After graduating in 1994 as a member of the Order of the Coif, she joined an insurance company and worked in the area of medical malpractice. After six years she moved into private practice, where she has been for 19 years. She has tried many cases around the State of Iowa. She also represents health care providers before their professional licensing boards.
