Marcy Gorrell
Marcy Gorrell, CPHRM, “Communication Breakdowns in Healthcare,” is assistant director of risk management MPL and new segments at ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company. She works in partnership with physicians, administrators, and their clinical and administrative staff to identify and help mitigate areas of medical professional liability risk. Prior to joining ISMIE, she was president of her own healthcare consulting company which focused on the operators of mid-sized medical practices. A certified professional in healthcare risk management, Ms. Gorrell is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the Northwestern Medicine Cancer Quality Committee and the Patient Family Advisory Council. She has provided no disclosures.
