Mark Bowden, Executive Director, Iowa
Mark Bowden has been executive director of the Iowa Board of Medicine since December 2008. He is a certified medical board executive and is secretary of Administrators in Medicine, a national organization for state medical and osteopathic board executives. He serves on several committees in the Federation of State Medical Boards and is a member of the editorial committee for the Journal of Medical Regulation. He earned his graduate and undergraduate degrees from Drake University in Des Moines and spent nearly three decades as an executive in the news media.
