Mark Easter, DO
Mark E. Easter, D.O. is a 1981 graduate of the University Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his internship at Lakeside Hospital in Kansas City.
He worked in San Diego from 1982 through 1987 in private practice and North County Health Services as Quality Assurance director for an indigent adult and migrant farm worker health clinic system serving the northern half of San Diego County. He was acting medical director for three months. He was on the adjunct faculty for COMP in Pomona while in California.
In 1987, Dr. Easter moved to Lamoni in Decatur County, which is still the poorest county in the state of Iowa. Since then, he has worked in private practice at Decatur Medical Services and CHCSI, the local community health center. He has been the county medical examiner since 1990. He was the medical director for FOCUS, an adolescent behavior unit until its closure due to fiscal constraints. He has testified as an expert witness in Iowa, Missouri and Colorado in many maltreatment cases.
