Mark Sanders, DO, JD, MPH, LLM, MS, FACOFP


Dr. Mark Sanders obtained his DO degree from TCOM in Fort Worth and JD degree from Texas A&M School of Law.  He received his MPH from University of North Texas, his Masters in Elder Law from Stetson University, and a Masters in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Northern Michigan University.  Dr. Sanders is an innovative and respected authority on medical issues as they pertain to the areas of genetics, geriatrics, hospice, palliative care, and legal medicine. He has received multiple awards as one of America’s Top Physicians and was named an ACOFP Fellow.  Dr. Sanders has previously spoken at events for LOMA, OMED, ACOFP, AACOM and AOA on topics such as opioid prescribing and endemic, genomic medicine, palliative medicine, transition care management, practice management and elder law. He is a member of AOA, LOMA, ACOFP, the Osteopathic Political Action Committee and the American College of Legal Medicine, among others.   Dr. Sanders currently serves as Dean for the VCOM-Louisiana campus of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
