I was raised in California where I earned my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Between undergraduate and the start of medical school I worked as a Research Associate in the Psychiatry Department at UCSD studying HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorders. Before starting medical school, I commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force as part of the Health Professions Scholarship Program.
In my down time I enjoy cycling and plant-based cooking. My current medical specialties of interest are Gastroenterology, Neurology and Psychiatry.
