Matthew Eschelbach, MS, DO, CPE, FAAPL, FACEP


Dr. Matt Eschelbach is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine and the American Association of Physician Specialists. He is also a Certified Physician Executive. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Association for Physician Leadership. His experience includes being the Emergency Department Medical Director, the Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Trauma, and several hospital leadership positions. Dr. Eschelbach earned his Master's degree in Microbiology from Oregon State University in Oregon, and he graduated medical school from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa.

Dr. Eschelbach has dedicated years to Emergency Medical Services at both the local, state and national levels. He has been named Emergency Room Medical Director of the Year and EMS Medical Director of the Year in Oregon. He has also been named Preceptor of the Year for teaching Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Eschelbach has a passion for education and teaching. He has lectured at many national conferences. He enjoys medical humor and has published several articles in medical literature. He is an executive member of the Oregon Wellness Committee, has been a member of the Oregon Medical Board, and served as President of many medical societies. He is also a faculty member of numerous medical colleges and is a published author. He is married with children and lives in Bend, Oregon.
