Matthew J. Poremba, DO, FACEP, “Stroke and TIA: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis and Management,” is division chief of emergency medicine at Duquesne University College of Osteopathic Medicine and assistant professor of emergency medicine at Drexel University School of Medicine. Board certified in emergency medicine, he is a graduate of Penn State New Kingston and a 2012 graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Dr. Poremba completed an emergency medicine residency and emergency medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. A fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, he is a member of the Air Medical Physician Association, the National Association of EMS Physicians, , the American Medical Association, the Emergency Medicine Residents Association and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
