Melissa Pearce, DO
Dr. Pearce is delighted to be teaching our Osteopathic medical students at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine - California. She is a Touro alumnus, graduated in 2005. She is doubly Board Certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (AOBME) and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (C-NMM/OMM). She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine (ABIHM).
Dr. Pearce is dedicated to being a model for both Osteopathic medicine as a specialty practice and how a Family Medicine physician can incorporate Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) into typical patient care encounters. She particularly appreciates treating pregnant women and children. Dr. Pearce enjoys working with our associated health professionals and students as the Medical Director of the Touro University California Student-Run Free Clinic (TUC SRFC) and welcomes new preceptors in the clinic. She supports the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department as Vice-Chair and is the Course Coordinator for the first year OMM Curriculum in the Spring semester. For OPSC, she enjoys collaborating in organizing educational opportunities and bringing osteopathically-oriented content to our conferences as Chair of the Education Committee and OMT subcommittee.
