Michael W. Hankins, Jr., DPM, MSMEd, CWSP, FACPM, AACFAS, “Acute vs Chronic Limb Ischemia,” is acting dean, assistant professor of podiatric medicine and surgery, and assistant program director of the podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Lake Erie College of Medicine School of Podiatric Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Board certified in podiatric medicine and wound management, he is a graduate of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida and a 2020 graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. A fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Hankins is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, the American Diabetes Association, the Wound Healing Society, the Pennsylvania Academy of Sciences and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
