Nathan Prichard, DO


Dr. Nathan Prichard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. He currently provides direct patient care at The University of Kansas Health System's Marillac Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. Dr. Prichard provides Psychiatric Inpatient and Outpatient care to children and adolescents. He also works in physician informatics as the Medical Director for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Prichard utilizes a passion for advancing the technology of healthcare delivery to help optimize care for patients.

Dr. Prichard has been involved in graduate and post-graduate medical education, serving as a clinical attending for child and adolescent psychiatry. He also took on the role of Associate Program Director for the General Psychiatry Residency Training program during the 2020-2021 academic year. He transitioned to take over as the Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Fellowship Program at the University of Kansas Medical Center in January 2022.

Dr. Prichard received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience, Kansas City, Missouri, in 2013. Dr. Prichard completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He then completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center following his residency. Dr. Prichard served as both Chief Resident and Chief Fellow. Dr. Prichard is board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
