Nicole Washington, DO

Nicole B. Washington, DO, MPH, earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency training at University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine. She received her Master’s Public Health from University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Washington is a board-certified Psychiatrist, speaker, author, and consultant who has always had an affinity towards working with populations who aren’t typically consumers of mental health services. This focus on population health led her to complete a Master’s of Public Health with emphasis in policy and administration. While completing the MPH, she became interested in physician mental health and was stunned at the data surrounding physician mental health and physician suicide. Further research also indicated that physicians weren’t the only professionals dealing with untreated mental health issues, largely due to stigma surrounding mental illness.

As Chief Medical Officer and founder of Elocin Psychiatric Services, she has become a staunch advocate for high level professionals who are dealing with untreated mental health issues or general occupational stressors. Dr. Bernard provides pharmacological management of psychiatric conditions, psychotherapy, and individual debriefing sessions after bad outcomes for professionals in need via HIPAA compliant telemedicine software.

Aside from direct patient care, Dr. Washington is also passionate about corporate mental health and is available for consultation for large group debriefing session after large-scale events in the workplace as well as to help companies find ways to optimize mental health and productivity among employees. She also works with professionals on an individual basis for both personal and professional coaching.
