Patricia Meier, MD

Based in Kansas City, Dr. Patricia Meier serves as Chief Medical Officer for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Kansas City office, which covers Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. She also provides coverage for an additional six states out of the Chicago office. Dr. Meier brings her clinical experience to the regional and national CMS initiatives. She serves as the medical lead for quality improvement work and a liaison with healthcare providers in her region. Dr. Meier is a board-certified physician in Pathology, Infectious Diseases, and Internal Medicine. She graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School, after which she completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Pathology with fellowships in Infectious Diseases and Hospital Epidemiology. In addition to her previous clinical practice she has held medical director responsibilities in both hospital and outpatient laboratories. She holds a M.Sc. in Preventive Medicine and completed an executive MBA program.
